More pictures of my mom's trip

These are more pictures of my mom's trip to Florida
The T-Rex restaurant and Downtown Disney where we saw Cirque Du Soleil
The restaurant called the Roaring 20's where this guy plays a huge Wurlitzer organ during dinner.

We miss everyone and really enjoyed visiting with some of our friends and my mom. It has been a fun month and now James and I don't know what to do with ourselves! Anyone else want to come visit???

Well, James and I are lonely now. I haven't had a chance to update my blog due to company. We have had a whirlwind of guests since the end of March. Here is what we have been up to:
The last week of March we went to Ft. Lauderdale/Miami to visit with my best friend Michelle and her husband who flew down from Baltimore to go on a cruise. James and I stayed the weekend and met them at the airport to go to lunch and then dropped them off at the cruise terminal. It was a short visit but I loved seeing them. I miss Michelle:)!!

Then the next two weekends James parents stayed at our house. We loved having them here and playing cards and things. They helped me and my friend Maria can 44 jars of homemade pizza sauce. Pizza isn't the same without that homemade sauce :)

Then the next week James brother and his wife and their 3 kids came to visit from Utah. We had a lot of fun with them. We went to the beach, dinner, and just hanging out and visiting.

Then after they left our friends that we miss a lot flew in from Baltimore to visit. They brought there 3 kids who have really grown up since we moved 2 years ago and they have a new baby that we hadn't got to see yet so we really enjoyed spending time with them. We went to the beach, miniature golfing where we got to feed the alligators, and to Busch Gardens so it was lot of fun.

Then last but not least my mom came to visit for a week. She just left yesterday and I miss her terribly. We had such a fun week. We went to the Tampa Bay Rays baseball game..they played the Red Sox. We went on a airboat ride in the Florida Everglades down close to Naples. We took her to the beach to watch the sunset, to a a place called the Roaring 20's where they have a huge Wurlitzer organ that a guy plays during dinner (my mom plays the organ) I took her for Mother's Day to the Cirque Du Soleil show in Orlando and we ate at a fun place called the T-Rex. Other than that justgoing to dinner at places they don't have in West Virginia and shopping. It was a lot of fun and we were BUSY!!

More New Orleans Pictures: We we got some beads from a parade on Bourbon Street. Carolyn and I at CVS (we shared a room) our room was on the 40th floor (our 2nd room...the first had no hot water!!! That made for a fun first day!!) so, we got some great pictures of the city and of the Mississippi River!

Well, I'm back from New Orleans...and that's all I'm going to say about that. Really, I had a good time. The flights were good I didn't do too bad (for all of you that know how I HATE flying...hate actually doesn't do it justice!!) I didn't get to see too much of the city, we were in conferences all day. We were there from Wednesday to Sunday, so it was mostly at night when we got to go exploring. By the way... not a safe city to explore. Our hotel was on Canal Street in the heart of the French Quarter area so that was neat to be right there. The trip can be summed up by:
1. The food was GREAT
2. The people are different, and rude (for the most part)
3. The city smells dirty
4. The city is dirty.
5. Every time we went out of our hotel we were "cat called" to or followed (not safe)
6. Interesting to see... but will never return!!

Valentines Eve

James always tries to make me feel special. I love it. Friday nights are usually pretty boring in our house because I'm off but James works all day and when he gets home he is tired. So, we usually have pretty lame Friday nights. However, every so often he will call from work which he did today and tell me to be ready he is taking me somewhere. We always have date night every Saturday night so doing it 2 nights in a row is rare. I was so excited today, so I was ready and when he got home, he took me shopping. He does this once every few months where he doesn't complain at how long it takes me, what I buy, and he doesn't tell me "that's enough." I love that. He tries so hard to make me happy. So, tonight we went to the outlet malls about 20 miles from our house and shopped for over 2 hours. It was FUN! He never told me no, don't go in there or that's a lot of money. He just lets me get whatever. I love those nights :) He's a great husband. I love that he does things he doesn't enjoy every once in awhile just to see me happy. Not that I'm not the rest of the time but he does it just to make me feel special. Tomorrow for our Valentine's Day we are going to do a service project in the morning and then go out to dinner and to a pro hockey game tomorrow night. The Tampa Bay lightning are playing the hockey team from Washington DC (the Capitals I think) Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Another week and another illness. It seems like lately all I do is get sick. I'm blaming James for this cold though. He was sick last week and now I have it....but worse. I just got over the stomach flu which has been flowing around here like water. I just had it not more than 2 weeks ago and now this. I think ultimately it is FLORIDA. I've come to the conclusion that cold winters maybe are a good thing. Don't get me wrong, I never want to deal with winter again...well I won't say never but it kills things when it is 5 degrees outside. When it's 70 all winter things just keep growing and blooming. Lots of things bloom here in the winter and so I also have allergies ALL year long, unlike up north where I just had them in the spring. Someday I'll get over all of this so I can run again. Right now I would pass out.....I CAN'T BREATHE!!!
